Hockney class had a splendid last day before half term, taking part in the Wyldwood Arts celebration day at Westbury Village Hall.
The children got to meet a range of elderly residents from both Blakeney and Chaxhill care home, sharing a range of stories. The children also played a variety of games, interacting well with Blakeney and Walmore Hill children.
During the afternoon the children performed their Drama work they had practiced during the Project, this involved reenacting stories told from Rodley House care home, singing a range of songs and also mirroring their partner. As well as all of this, the children also ate a range of cakes and biscuits!
Thank you to Katie and Rachel for a wonderful project ran over the past month and also to Rodley House, who have been nothing less than welcoming!
Also a special mention to Sarah and Michelle for helping out with serving the tea and cakes during the celebration day, we couldn't have done it without you!
Hockney class enjoyed their last day at Rodley House on Tuesday.
Over the past three weeks, the children have built up some great relationships with the elderly residents and are sad to finish this project! The children are looking forward to the celebration day on Friday 20th of October at Westbury Village Hall between 11 and 1, which parents are invited to.
Thank you very much to Rodley House for their very kind and caring hospitality over the weeks and also to Rachel and Katie for organising an excellent project!
