Our Topic this term is
'Blood Heart'

Crimson, scarlet, burgundy, cherry... blood flows through our bodies in all its vibrant shades of red. Let's explore our circulation system! Now surgeons, done be squeamish as we dissect an animal heat and examine the veins, arteries and chambers up close. They all work hard to move blood around out bodies.

William Harvey was fascinated with anatomy and made groundbreaking discoveries about valves. I wonder what we might uncover?

Blooming Pots

Abi and Sawitta have been working hard on their planter as part of a competition at Taurus Crafts.

There are 6 Schools involved, all designing a plant pot with a Hawaiian theme.

The general public then votes for their winner! Please vote!!!

BASF Trip

Well done to Sofia and Joseph who were chosen to represent Pillowell School on a trip to BASF.

BASF is a state-of-the-art recycling facility in Cinderford.

The children had a great time, meeting children from a range of others Schools. Well done both of you!

Mountain Biking club

As a reward for excellent behaviour during Mountain Biking club this year, the children went on a special trip to Parkend cafe.

The children cycled through the woods before stopping off for an ice-cream and a drink.

The children had a fabulous time!


GPJ Games

The Year 5s and 4s had a great time at the GPJ competition at Wyedean School. The children got to take part in four activities including: Standing long jump, Relay, Zone ball and continuous Cricket.

The children were really well behaved and a true credit to the School. Well done to everyone involved!



Mini Marines 5

It was another week of Mini Marines and the children were put to hard work with a bleep test.

Well done to Tyler K who is the Hockney class bleep test champion!
