Our Topic this term is
'Alchemy Island'

It's time to suspend your disbelief and open your mind. We're going on a magical journey to Alchemy Island!

Can you find the gold hidden deep within the island's mysterious landscape? The only way is to study the map, unravel the riddle and begin your adventure. On the way, you must do all you can to learn about gold and master the ancient art of alchemy. Be creative and try to impress the island's team of ace alchemists!

Will they praise your scientific expertise? What if there were a video game version of Alchemy Island? Could you compose a stunning soundtrack to bring this mysterious landscape to life? You've got your map, coordinates and everything else you need to make your way across Alchemy Island.

Don't forget to pack your imagination! Got your suitcase ready? Then let the journey begin...

Christmas Cards

During the build up to Christmas, Hockney class have been making cards for their parents. The children made pretty baubles and tied them with string.

They look fantastic! Well done all!

Mince Pies

Hockney class have had a very fun afternoon making mince pies to raise money for their residential trip. A huge thank you to Lily and Hazel's nan for supplying the pastry and filling and helping make them with the children. Also a big thank you to Helen, our cook, for putting them in the oven.

We managed to raise £21.40. A great effort everyone!


Hockney class have been thinking ahead to the new year, creating some colourful and vibrant calendars, representing the four seasons. Well done all!

Josh's Board Game

Josh has been working on a special project with Mr Stevenson designing a board game for Hockney class.

Today it was finally complete and the children got to have a go with the game. Well done Josh!!

Sports Hall Athletics

Well done to a mix of Year 5 and 6 children who took part in the sports hall athletics competition at Forest High School. The children competed in a range of track and field events, finishing 6th out of 9 teams.

The boys relay team, managed to win two of their races! Well done all!
